Job summary

The University of Kentucky College of Social Work seeks a dynamic Chair and Executive Director for its social work programs. This senior leader will guide strategic growth, manage multiple degree and certificate programs, and advance workforce partnerships while ensuring excellence in instruction, research, and service on campus in Lexington and at the affiliated sites.

Qualifications

• The Chair leads academic and administrative oversight for all social work programs.
• Recruits, mentors, and evaluates faculty; supports tenure and workload planning.
• Ensures instructional quality and compliance with CSWE and SACSCOC.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic growth and innovation for social work programs.
• Advance faculty success through recruitment, development, and promotion processes.
• Oversee BASW, MSW, DSW, PhD, and certificate programs and curriculum innovation.
• Foster student success through admissions, advising, practicum, recruitment, and persistence initiatives.
• Develop relationships with agencies and community partners to expand impact and fundraising.
