Mercer University School of Medicine is searching for a tenure track faculty position for the Chair of the Department of Biomedical Sciences on the Macon campus.
This is a 12-month, full-time, tenure-track appointment. Rank to be determined based on the credentials of the selected candidate. Candidates must meet the standards for tenure and rank in the department. Candidates must have a track record of lead author publications in peer-reviewed journals and plans for establishing an independent research program. Should have a strong track record in externally funded research. Must establish and maintain a vigorous, extramurally funded research program in their area of expertise, and contribute to teaching graduate and/or medical students associated with the Department of Biomedical Sciences. Mercer University School of Medicine is a community-based medical school that educates health professionals to provide care in rural, medically underserved areas of Georgia (http://medicine.mercer.edu).
