Job summary

MAC'S Hardware, Inc. in Fargo, ND is seeking a full-time Chain/Rope & Cable Department Head. You will manage daily department functions, assist customers with product selection, and measure and cut chain, rope, and cable to spec.

Responsibilities include stocking, merchandising, pricing updates, safety compliance, and supporting store operations. Heavy lifting is required; strong communication and product knowledge are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selection and project needs.
• Measure and cut chain, rope, and cable to customer specifications.
• Stock merchandise and put away freight deliveries in a timely manner.
• Maintain department cleanliness, safety, and organization.
• Complete price changes and signage updates as required.
• Execute merchandising resets according to store standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and report low stock to management.
• Safely lift, move, and handle heavy materials and equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and store policies.
• Support overall store operations and assist in other departments as needed.
