Job summary

Peerless Industrial Group Inc. in Winona, MN is seeking a Chain Maker Trainee to support our direct labor operations. You will embark on a formal 6-month training program, learn to operate machine sets in your work cell, and contribute to safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.

The role requires ability to pass the training, work across shifts, and collaborate with fellow operators to meet production goals. Union environment and on-site presence are part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Complete and pass formal 6 month training program including classroom and hands on instruction.
• Must be able to operate machine sets in their assigned work cell.
• Abide by safety policies, operator preventative maintenance and housekeeping practices.
• Ensure the quality specification of the product.
• Accurately complete process and quality documentation.
• Performs Material Handling duties to move raw and finished goods.
• Must be able to work in partnership with other operators in assigned work cell.
• Reasoning ability to define problems, collect information and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Communicate respectfully with others.
• Work with limited supervision.
