Amentum is seeking a CH-47 Aircraft Mechanic I to troubleshoot and repair aircraft structures, engines, and systems in a hands-on role at our Jacksonville facility. You will read manuals, conduct inspections, and perform maintenance to ensure airworthiness of CH-47 platforms.

Responsibilities include performing specialized inspections, component replacement, and engine work while maintaining records. A&P certification or equivalent experience with appropriate clearances is required.

Qualifications

• Valid up-to-date A&P license.
• If no A&P license, 3 years aviation maintenance experience, 2 years rotary wing experience, and 2 years on the CH47 (MDS).
• All experience must be within the last 6 years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance (NAC-I T1).
• Must possess own shadowed/etched tools and toolbox.

Responsabilités

• Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures and components using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
• Reads and interprets manuals, service bulletins, and technical data to determine repair methods.
• Performs 100-hour, progressive, isochronal, phase, and other inspections and diagnoses engine malfunctions.
• Inspect jet engine turbine blades and test engine operation with appropriate equipment.
• Replace worn components and reinstall engines in aircraft.
• Adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring and perform preflight through post-flight maintenance.
• Supervise jacking and towing, document work in maintenance records, and ensure safe operation.
• May specialize in structural, engine, or equipment work and meet FAA licensing if required.
• Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
