Job summary

Tate & Lyle in San Diego, CA is seeking a cGMP Facility Compliance Handler to join our operations. This role involves eight-hour shifts, requires ability to work with minimal supervision, multitask, and support EH&S and quality policies.

You will operate forklifts, perform plant maintenance tasks, and ensure compliance with cGMP, DOT labeling, hazardous waste handling, and safety protocols. Certification in Ariel Lift and Fall Protection is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work in multiple areas of the plant.
• Follow cGMP policies and EH&S/Quality Policy.
• Certified Ariel Lift and Fall Protection required.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision and multi-tasking.
• Strong teamwork and safety communication.

Responsibilities

• Sweep debris, wash down walkways, stack pallets, roll up hoses and work in non-accessible areas.
• Operates forklifts to empty trash dumpsters and pick up empty drums.
• Labeling of DOT drums and loading of Hazardous Material.
• Drape and repair safety features like signage and curtains as needed.
• Perform basic maintenance like painting touch-ups and drywall/floor repair.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental guidelines and use PPE correctly.
• Communicate safety/procedural issues to coworkers and supervisors.
