Job summary

Marigold Speech in Janesville, WI seeks a clinical fellow-speech language pathologist to support our growing private practice. You will conduct assessments, plan individualized treatments, and deliver outpatient therapy to adults and children.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and temporary state licensure.
• Strong assessment and therapeutic skills with excellent communication.
• Experience with adult and pediatric populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, and communication disorders and develop diagnoses.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver direct outpatient speech-language therapy addressing articulation, language, fluency, voice, and cognitive-communication.
• Educate patients and families about disorders, plans, and progress strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, and psychologists; participate in team meetings.
• Pursue continuing education and professional development.
• Work in an outpatient clinic with a supportive, team-oriented environment.
• Perform tasks involving direct patient interaction, including sitting, standing, and lifting up to 20 pounds.

Job description

We are seeking a talented and passionate clinical fellow-speech language pathologist to support our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, and communication disorders. Develop accurate diagnoses based on clinical findings and patient history.
• Treatment Planning: Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs and goals of each patient. Utilize evidence-based practices to ensure effective therapy outcomes.
• Therapy Delivery: Provide direct speech and language therapy to patients in an outpatient setting. Use a variety of therapeutic techniques and tools to address speech articulation, language comprehension, fluency, voice disorders, and cognitive-communication skills.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders, treatment plans, and strategies to support progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to provide comprehensive patient care. Participate in team meetings as needed.
• Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
• Work Environment: Outpatient clinic with a supportive team-oriented atmosphere.
• Physical Demands: Ability to perform tasks that involve direct patient interaction, including sitting, standing, and occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds.

Requirements

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, temp state licensure.

Experience: Adult and Pediatric experience preferred

Other Requirements: Comprehensive technological skills for use of web-based systems including email, word processing, data sheets, electronic medical records, and digital faxing.
