Job summary

University of Missouri-Columbia invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor or Associate Teaching Professor in the Division of Applied Social Sciences (DASS). This non‑tenure track, nine‑month appointment focuses on undergraduate instruction in the Personal Financial Planning program, with potential graduate contribution as needed.

The successful candidate will teach upper‑division CFP Core courses, prep students for the CFP exam education requirement, and may advise undergraduates

Qualifications

• PhD degree by time of appointment.
• CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificate status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach upper‑division courses comprising the CFP Core curriculum (Employee Benefits and Retirement Planning; Estate and Gift Planning; Tax Planning; Risk Management; Investment Management; Financial Planning Capstone).
• Deliver courses via traditional, hybrid, and/or online formats and prepare students to meet the education requirement for the CFP® exam.
• Provide undergraduate and/or graduate advising and service activities consistent with the program and division.
