Washington & Jefferson College is seeking a Chief of Staff to serve as a strategic partner to the Vice President for Business & Finance / Chief Financial Officer, advancing the College's financial, operational, administrative, governmental, and community priorities as an extension of the CFO's office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Political Science, Higher Education Administration, Communications, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional experience in business operations, project management, administration, government relations, or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the CFO in advancing strategic priorities and coordinating cross‑functional initiatives.
• Lead high‑priority institutional projects and monitor milestones.
• Prepare briefing materials, reports, and executive communications for leadership bodies.
• Assist in budget planning, resource allocation discussions, and financial analyses for strategic initiatives.
• Coordinate with staff to assemble information for executive review and oversight.
• Represent the Office of the CFO in internal and external engagements as needed.
