Job summary

CLA is seeking a CFO to lead our nonprofit Client Accounting and Advisory Services practice in Southern New England, with locations in Quincy, Andover, Boston, Worcester, New Bedford, MA and Cranston, RI. You will manage a team of 8-10 accounting and finance professionals delivering outsourced accounting solutions and CFO consulting services.

You will partner with client leadership on strategic financial decisions, oversee budgets, GAAP knowledge, cash flow, capital planning, and board

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; combination of related experience may be accepted.
• 8 years of relevant accounting/financial experience required.
• Nonprofit industry experience required.
• Proven ability to build and manage teams through growth and use professional networks for business development.
• CPA is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with client leadership on strategic financial decisions based on projections, cost allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.
• Monitor budgets and present operational metrics.
• Develop knowledge of GAAP and industry financials.
• Manage cash flow, forecasting, and financial accounting.
• Oversee capital planning, risk management, and interactions with the board of directors.
• Lead multiple client engagements and build strong client relationships.
