Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is seeking a CFO to lead the nonprofit Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) practice in Southern New England. Roles are available in Quincy, Andover, Boston, Worcester, New Bedford, MA, and Cranston, RI locations.

You will manage a team of 8–10 professionals delivering outsourced accounting and CFO consulting. The position requires a Bachelor's degree and 8 years in accounting/finance, nonprofit experience, and willingness to travel locally to client sites with

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
8 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required.
Experience in the nonprofit industry is required.
Experience using personal and professional networks for business development and proven record of building and managing teams through growth.
CPA is not required but highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of 8–10 accounting and finance professionals delivering outsourced accounting solutions and CFO consulting services.
Partner with client leadership on operational and strategic issues, providing financial analysis and recommendations.
Monitor budgets, track progress, and present operational metrics.
Deeply understand GAAP and industry-specific financial and operational aspects.
Manage cash flow, forecasting, and capital planning; oversee financial accounting.
Oversee multiple client engagements and build strong client relationships.
