Job summary

Bellwether Housing seeks a highly skilled Chief Financial Officer to lead the organization’s financial function. The CFO will provide leadership on financial planning, risk management, and resource allocation, overseeing accounting, tax, IT, and treasury while guiding executives and the Board on fiscal strategy.

The role supervises four team members and partners with leaders across departments to ensure financial discipline and mission alignment.

Qualifications

• Ten years of senior level financial management experience
• Experience with fund accounting and public finance preferred
• Experience leading, managing and mentoring a team of high performing staff

Responsibilities

• Advise the CEO and Board on finances and assets
• Oversee monthly financial statements and performance analysis
• Lead finance, treasury, cash flow, and investor relations
• Oversee asset management and portfolio reporting
• Provide leadership in planning, risk management and policy development
• Ensure regulatory compliance and internal controls
