How To MANAGE a Small Law Firm is seeking an experienced CFO-Lite to guide solo practitioners in understanding their numbers, boosting profitability, and making smarter financial decisions.

You will advise a roster of 40 clients as part of a Fractional Executive Team, leading strategic financial calls, analyzing statements, and building dashboards to forecast cash flow and identify risks. This remote, full-time role offers substantial upside.

Qualifications

• Controller or senior-level accounting/finance experience.
• Strong financial analysis, forecasting, KPI, and dashboard experience.
• Proven results improving profitability, cash flow, or expenses.
• Experience managing teams or client relationships.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financials simply.
• Small business or entrepreneurial experience strongly preferred.
• Professional services or law firm experience is a plus.

Location Requirement: This is a remote position, but we can only hire candidates who reside in AZ, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, LA, MD, MI, MO, NC, NE, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, or WV.

• Lead monthly 1:1 financial strategy calls with clients
• Analyze financial statements, KPIs, profitability, and cash flow
• Build and interpret financial dashboards
• Prepare short-term cash flow forecasts and identify risks
• Coach clients toward stronger financial habits and accountability

The Details

Remote | Full-Time

Some evening availability and travel required.

Compensation: $110,000 to $145,000 total annual compensation, including base pay, roster-based earnings, additional projects, and projected bonuses.
