Job summary

Sitreps in Portland, OR is seeking a CFO to build and lead the finance function for a rapidly growing, PE-backed portable sanitation platform. You will own financial strategy, planning, treasury, tax, insurance, and M&A integration across Corporate and branch operations.

This senior role partners with the CEO, sponsor, and Board to deliver timely analysis, drive profitability, and scale the organization through acquisitions while establishing strong internal controls, reporting, and systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
• Experience as CFO/VP of Finance in a PE-backed, multi-location business.
• Experience with acquisitions, integration, ERP and multi-state operations.
• Experience managing cash, liquidity, banking relationships, credit facilities, and financial reporting.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis capability.
• Experience recruiting and building a finance organization.
• Experience overseeing external tax advisors, insurance brokers, and other professional services.
• Nice-to-haves: CPA.
• Experience in industrial or route-based services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the CEO's primary financial advisor with timely analysis of performance, cash flow, profitability, capital allocation, and risk.
• Partner with branch leaders to improve revenue, profitability, labor productivity, and pricing.
• Develop branch-level financial reporting to drive decisions.
• Establish financial KPIs and accountability standards for a multi-branch business.
• Recruit, build, and lead a finance organization aligned to growth.
• Establish internal controls and segregation of duties across Corporate and branches.
• Oversee financial reporting integrity and close processes.
• Lead external audits and sponsor reporting.
• Coordinate tax, insurance, and IT considerations with management and external advisors.
