Job summary

Ascendiun seeks a seasoned Vice President – Ascendiun Finance – Chief of Staff to partner with the CFO across the Ascendiun family of companies. This role leads critical cross-functional projects, strengthens financial processes, and ensures rigorous executive reporting while building high-performing teams.

You will balance strategic initiatives with disciplined execution, driving outcomes in a fast-paced, regulated environment and communicating clearly with senior leaders and boards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA or other relevant advanced degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible experience in finance, strategy, business operations, or enterprise transformation, including significant leadership experience.
• Demonstrates deep financial and business acumen, including experience with multi-year financial strategy, enterprise performance management, KPI frameworks, and executive- and board-level reporting.
• Experience supporting multiple businesses or legal entities in a highly regulated environment, with knowledge of both nonprofit and for-profit reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Translating complex financial, operational, and strategic issues into clear recommendations, practical roadmaps, and decision-ready narratives for senior executives and boards.
• Led complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution while balancing competing priorities, managing risk and interdependencies, and meeting critical deadlines.
• Has built direct and matrixed teams without relying on formal authority, aligning diverse stakeholders around enterprise priorities and outcomes.
• Communicates with exceptional clarity and executive presence, building trusted relationships with senior leaders, board members, and internal and external partners.
• Applies sound judgment, structured problem-solving, attention to detail, and a bias for action in fast-paced, ambiguous, and highly visible situations.
• Handles sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and the highest degree of integrity while ensuring accurate records, timely reporting, and disciplined follow-through.
