RBR Alliance, Inc. in Georgetown, Indiana seeks a Chief Financial Officer to oversee financial operations, budgeting, reporting, compliance, risk management, and fiscal personnel. The role reports to the CEO and supervises the Fiscal Department.

This is a full-time exempt position with a Monday–Friday schedule. The CFO will lead financial planning, ensure GAAP compliance, oversee grants, and prepare timely financial statements and reports for the CEO, Board, and auditors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 1–2 years of supervisory experience, or a bachelor’s degree and three years of related work experience.
  • Experience in nonprofit administration.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and computerized accounting systems.
  • Knowledge of word-processing, database, spreadsheet, and financial-management software.
  • Strong budgeting, financial analysis, cost-accounting, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to be bonded.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the agency’s financial affairs and computerized financial-management system.
  • Maintain adequate cash resources and monitor cash flow.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, budget comparisons, financial reports, and cost reports.
  • Manage grant reporting and ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and agency policies.
  • Provide financial information to the CEO, Board of Directors, Finance Committee, auditors, and agency leadership.
  • Direct accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, financial reporting, and related fiscal functions.
  • Establish and monitor internal controls and fiscal procedures.
  • Ensure the accuracy, security, confidentiality, and retention of financial records.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate fiscal department employees.
  • Monitor capital requests, expenditures, purchasing, and departmental budgets.
  • Prepare the annual agency budget in coordination with the CEO, directors, and managers.
  • Monitor agency expenditures against approved budgets.
  • Maintain appropriate lines of credit and financial resources.
  • Oversee agency insurance and other risk-management activities.
  • Identify financial and operational risks and recommend appropriate controls.
  • Review fiscal operations for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and agency policies.
  • Ensure required reports, audits, documentation, and deadlines are completed accurately and on time.
  • Participate in agency planning, committees, task forces, and community activities.
  • Work with agency leadership to align fiscal operations with the organization’s mission.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO.

JOB STATUS: Full-Time, Exempt
SCHEDULE: Monday–Friday (8am-4pm)

Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management

Physical & Work Requirements
  • Must have access to and be able to operate a motor vehicle.

  • Must comply with all health and safety requirements.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of consumer, employee, financial, and agency information.
Additional Information

The Chief Financial Officer works under the direct supervision of the Chief Executive Officer. The CEO may add to or elaborate on the duties and responsibilities of this position as needed.
