Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with 6+ years of experience.
• Expertise in CFD and heat transfer.
• Experience with development of physics-based models.
• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and heat transfer.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary group.
• Hands-on hardware testing experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply CFD physics-based models and simulations for weapon systems design, testing and integration.
• Lead and mentor junior team members within the interdisciplinary Fluid and Thermal Sciences group of Applied Physics, guiding work.
• Develop numerical and semi-empirical models to enhance understanding and support the design process.
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver analyses and communicate results to decision makers.
