Job summary

XRG Technologies in Tulsa, OK is seeking a CFD/Process engineer specializing in combustion CFD modeling to tackle complex thermal challenges across refining, petrochemical, and power industries. You will build and interpret CFD simulations of combustion and heat transfer equipment, design fired heaters, boilers, and heat exchangers, and support R&D efforts with advanced methods and in-house tools.

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, MS preferred.
  • 3+ years of CFD experience (Fluent, StarCCM+).
  • Experience with fired heaters, boilers, and heat exchangers.
  • Familiarity with API, ASME, ASTM standards.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build, run, and interpret CFD simulations for combustion and heat transfer equipment.
  • Design and optimize fired heaters, boilers, and heat exchangers.
  • Perform heat transfer, combustion, and hydraulics calculations using FRNC-5 and in-house software.
  • Support field surveys, commissioning, and performance testing.
  • Collaborate on R&D and CFD methods development.
