Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking a CFD-focused propulsion engineer to contribute to the design and qualification of combustion devices hardware through CFD analysis. You will review test and flight data, and interface with hardware designers to shorten design iterations.

You will develop analysis approaches to reduce iteration time, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and manufacturability, collaborating across teams to deliver performant engines for Terran R.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering field.
  • Experience performing CFD analyses (employment, internships, projects).
  • Familiar with pre/post-processing, meshing, boundary conditions, etc.
  • Experience with engineering scripting in Python or MATLAB.
  • Strong background in fluid mechanics and heat transfer.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to design and qualification of combustion devices hardware via CFD analysis.
  • Review test and flight data to anchor CFD models.
  • Interface with hardware designers to influence design decisions.
