Job summary

Mountain Air Cargo is seeking a Cessna 408 SkyCourier Captain – Floater to lead and support operations across bases in the Midwest and Eastern U.S. You will manage flight planning, performance calculations, and weight-and-balance in a fast-paced cargo environment.

The role emphasizes IFR proficiency, safety, and teamwork, with opportunities to rotate across bases to meet demand while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence.

Qualifications

• FAA ATP license (restricted accepted) with MEL.
• 1,800+ total hours; 500 PIC; 500 cross-country; 300 MEL.
• Night 100 hours and Instrument 100 hours (75 in aircraft).
• 100 hours turbine time.
• IFR proficiency and currency required.
• US work authorization; passport; US citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Cessna 408 SkyCourier safely and efficiently in a multi-crew cargo environment.
• Cover multiple bases and routes as a system floater, adapting to schedules and locations.
• Execute all phases of flight, including preflight planning, performance calculations, and weight-and-balance.
• Maintain compliance with SOPs and FAA regulations under Parts 121/135.
• Collaborate with dispatch, maintenance, and FedEx ramp personnel to keep operations on time.
• Uphold IFR proficiency, professionalism, and safety.

Mountain Air Cargo (MAC) is a trusted FedEx Feeder operating throughout the Midwest and Eastern half of the United States. With a 50+ aircraft fleet and ~100 daily flights under Parts 121 and 135, MAC delivers dependable, on-time cargo operations. As a Cessna 408 SkyCourier Captain – Floater, you’ll be a go-to leader who supports routes across multiple bases, ensuring operational continuity wherever demand is highest.

What you’ll do

• Operate the Cessna 408 SkyCourier safely and efficiently in a professional multi-crew cargo environment.
• Cover multiple bases and routes as a system floater, adapting to changing schedules and locations.
• Execute all phases of flight, including thorough preflight planning, performance calculations, and weight-and-balance.
• Maintain strict compliance with company SOPs and FAA regulations under Parts 121/135.
• Collaborate with dispatch, maintenance, and FedEx ramp personnel to keep operations running on time.
• Uphold the highest standards of IFR proficiency, professionalism, and safety.

What you’ll bring
