Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Full-Time Certified Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) at Eastern Correctional Institution in Westover, MD. The role requires an active Maryland RN license and WOC certification, with at least two years of RN experience preferred in clinical settings.

The RN will assess complex wounds, collaborate with facility staff, stay current on wound care practices, and support patient healing within a corrections environment. Comprehensive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Active RN license to practice in Maryland.
• Completion of an accredited WOC Nursing Education Program or Wound Care Certification (WCC).
• Minimum of two years (in the past five years) work experience as a RN preferred in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility
• Knowledge of wound care recommendations and products.
• Experience working in corrections preferred.
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Responsibilities

• The Certified Wound Care RN assesses deep wounds, skin tears, ostomies, severe burns, pressure injuries and bedsores and diabetic foot wounds.
• This person will work closely with staff to promote healing and is required to stay up to date on current wound care recommendations and products.
