Job summary

Pennoni, a Top 500 ENR engineering firm, is seeking full-time and part-time AWS Certified Welding Inspectors in the Green Bay, WI area. Inspect welding and fabrication operations, monitor compliance with plans and specs, and prepare daily shop reports while coordinating with fabricators, clients, and engineers.

Requirements include a High School education, 3+ years of experience, AWS-CWI, and strong communication skills with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 3 years of welding inspection experience.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector.
• Proficient in Windows and MS Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect welding, steel fabrication, coatings, expansion joints, bridge bearings, sign structures, beams, and drainage structures.
• Monitor work for compliance with shop drawings, standards, and specs.
• Communicate with fabricators, clients, and engineers.
• Produce daily written shop reports.

Job Responsibilities:

Pennoni is currently seekingfull-time and part timeAWS Certified Welding Inspectors in theGreen Bay, WI area for fabrication shops that producebridge and highway products for transportation agencies with experience is consistent with, but not limited to:

• Inspection of welding, steel fabrication, coatings, expansion joints, bridge bearings, sign structures, bridge beams, drainage structures, and other materials
• Monitoring work for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications
• Communicating and meeting with fabricators, clients, and engineers
• Production ofdaily written shop reports

Required Attributes:

• Minimum Education: High School
• Minimum years of experience: 3
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector
• Computer Skills: Microsoft windows and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work well independently and with others
• Need reliable transportation

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience performing QA/QC of bridge fabrication.
• Non-Destructive Testing [NDT] certifications (e.g.: UT, MT, PT).
• AWS D1.1/D1.5 Experience.
• Coating Inspection experience
