Job summary

Nova Engineering and Environmental LLC in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to perform structural building inspections and QA/QC tests across masonry, reinforced concrete and structural steel. Based from our Charlotte or Raleigh, NC location, the role involves field inspections, interpreting plans and specifications, and reporting results to contractors and engineers.

The ideal candidate holds current AWS CWI with structural or bridge experience; NDT Level II UT is a

• Current AWS CWI with structural or bridge experience.
• NDT Level II UT Shearwave a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
• Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met.
• Activities will include performing field testing and inspections
• Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly
• Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others
• Input results and observations into daily reports
