We are looking for a skilled Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to oversee quality control and assurance tasks at our Gibsonton and Adamo Drive locations. Your main objective is to ensure that all fabricated parts align with project specifications, shop drawings, and required dimensions. You will utilize measuring tools like tape measures to perform dimensional checks and conduct visual weld examinations to confirm quality standards. This role centers on QA/QC, dimensional accuracy, and visual assessment, and no welding test is required.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credential.
• Proven background in QA/QC is necessary.
• Experience conducting dimensional inspections within manufacturing, structural steel, or fabrication settings is preferred.
• Proficiency in interpreting and reading technical shop drawings and specifications.
• Deep knowledge of visual inspection techniques and welding quality standards.
• High level of precision and attention to detail.
• Competence in using tape measures and standard inspection equipment.
• Ability to clearly articulate and identify quality concerns.

Additional Qualifications

Individuals possessing NDT Technician certifications and experience are welcome to apply. Pay rates may be adjusted upward depending on your technical expertise, NDT credentials, and your ability to perform inspections with speed and accuracy.

Pay and Benefits

• Base pay: Commensurate with your skills and background.
• Pay range: $28–$38/hour for those with relevant NDT certifications and experience.
• Total compensation is based on technical skill, experience, certifications, and demonstrated accuracy.
• Employees receive weekly pay every Friday.

Work Sites

This role provides support across both of our facilities:

• There is no welding test for this position.
• Staff must complete the Orientation PowerPoint before their start date.
• An Employee Referral Bonus is offered for eligible temp-to-permanent staff, paid out 90 days after transitioning to our payroll.
• Relocation assistance is reserved for Fitters only and is not applicable to this CWI role.
