Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) / Quality Control Inspector (QCI) in Reedy Fork, NC to perform welding and quality inspections across piping, structural steel, and aluminum. This role supports AWS/ASME compliance and quality documentation within a manufacturing/fabrication setting.

The candidate will read blueprints, manage NDT coordination, and maintain QC records, with 3+ years CWI experience and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• AWS CWI certification required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of CWI experience in manufacturing or fabrication.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, ASME Section IX, and ASME B31.3.
• Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, P&IDs, and isometric drawings.
• Knowledge of welding QC, RCCA, CQI, and quality documentation.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

This role performs welding and quality inspections across fabricated piping, structural steel, and aluminum while supporting AWS/ASME compliance and quality documentation.

What You'll Do

Preferred

Associate degree in Welding Technology or related field; ISO 9001 and/or AISC experience; structural steel, piping fabrication, and aluminum welding experience.
