Job summary

Chromalox, Inc. in Ogden, UT seeks a Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) to inspect welded equipment from receiving through final inspection. You will ensure compliance with ASME and related standards and perform nondestructive inspections in the production process.

You will coordinate audits, review radiographic tests, maintain welder continuity, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements and document regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Welding Technology or two+ years of experience as a Certified Weld Inspector in manufacturing.
• AWS Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) certification.
• Knowledge of ASME, PED, ATEX, NEC, NACE, ANSI, and TEMA codes and related inspection methods.

Responsibilities

• Inspect welded equipment, parts, and assemblies from receiving through final inspection.
• Conduct nondestructive inspections in the production process and oversee in-process welding inspection.
• Perform radiographic material inspection and interpretation per ASME and related codes.
• Coordinate audits and monitor nondestructive evaluation processes and personnel.
• Create documentation of compliance with codes and regulations.
• Maintain welder continuity log and ensure compliance with standards.
