Job summary

Evonik Industries AG in Indiana seeks a highly experienced Wastewater Treatment Certified Operator to ensure 24/7/365 compliance across site operations. You’ll manage pretreatment lift stations, wastewater treatment systems, sludge handling, and associated infrastructure, driving reliability and environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities include regulatory compliance, audits, system optimization, and collaboration with engineers and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Ten years of wastewater treatment or related industrial operations experience.
• Indiana Class D Wastewater Treatment Certification preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical, troubleshooting and reporting skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, SAP, DeltaV or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the site's Certified Operator ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate reporting.
• Provide operational and technical support for wastewater and stormwater systems.
• Lead regulatory audits, inspections, permitting activities, investigations and corrective actions.
• Support environmental operations using ESTER, TrackWise, Regulus, ELADIN and SAP.
• Drive process improvements, cost reductions and safety enhancements while managing budgets.
• Collaborate with engineers, maintenance, contractors and operations on projects.
• Develop procedures, deliver training, and support operator licensing and continuing education.
