Job summary

New Bern Auto Group in New Bern, NC seeks a skilled automotive technician to join our team and support repairs across multiple brands.

You will diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles with access to new equipment. We offer paid training, benefits, a sign-on bonus up to $5,000, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications are ideal.
• Strong automotive background.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check.
• Must have clean & valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Maintain and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional needed services and provide time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
