Job summary

The Sight Center of Northwest Ohio in Toledo is seeking a Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist (CVRT) to empower clients to achieve education, employment, avocation, and independence. You will teach compensatory skills and adaptive technology to help clients live safely and productively across settings.

This full-time, exempt position requires ACVREP CVRT certification and a degree in Rehabilitation Teaching or related field, with travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Teaching, Special Education, or related field; CVRT certification required.
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience preferred.
• Understanding of disability adjustment issues and ethical standards in culturally responsive practice.

Responsibilities

• Instruct clients in daily living skills and use of compensatory skills and assistive technology.
• Develops and implements individualized rehabilitation teaching programs.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and services.
• Maintains accurate documentation and complies with policy and accreditation standards.
