Job summary

Lighthouse of Central Florida is seeking a Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist (CVRT) to plan and deliver vision rehabilitation services to individuals who are blind or have low vision. The role focuses on teaching compensatory skills for independence, including daily living, technology access, braille, orientation and mobility, and self-determination.

Qualifications

• Degree in Visual Disabilities or related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Two years of vision rehabilitation experience preferred.
• CVRT certification required or pursued.

Responsibilities

• Provide group and one-on-one instruction in community, center, and virtual settings.
• Document client progress accurately and timely.
• Evaluate and adjust goals, plans, and devices as needed.
• Maintain client confidentiality per regulations.
• Develop engaging curricula aligned with program philosophy.
