Progressive Animal Wellness in Avon, CT is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to support outpatient care and surgical and dental procedures. You will work as a room technician with dedicated time for anesthesia, surgery, and dentistry, ensuring high standards of patient care and client communication.

The ideal candidate has a CT CVT license, 1+ year of experience, and a strong commitment to compassionate, evidence-based medicine.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of veterinary technician experience.
• Active, CT CVT license required.
• Proficiency in anesthesia, dental radiography, and patient monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
• Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Assist in surgery.
• Perform dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately.
• Identify patient concerns and support efficient case management across the hospital.
• Build strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service.
