Candidates should be proficient in animal handling, blood draws, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and comfortable with general veterinary care. Client education and communication skills are essential. Our ideal candidate is passionate about surgery and eager to work in our surgery department multiple days a week. Veterinary Technicians and Assistants should have broad knowledge of animal science and medicine. They need to handle and restrain animals effectively, be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of taking medical histories, following instructions, documenting statistics, and updating records.
Full-time position with salary ranging from $22.00 to $28.00 per hour, based on experience and skills. Benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, HSA with employer contribution, 401(k), employee assistance, discounts, paid time off, and holiday pay. Schedule options include Monday to Saturday, 4x10 or 5x8 shifts.
Sign-on bonus potential of up to $1000, eligible after six months of employment.
