Royal Vista Veterinary Specialists is looking to add a full-time, overnight Credentialed Veterinary Technician to their team! We are hiring for our emergency and specialty departments.
As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our patients. Your work will include hands-on care, facilitating outpatient treatments, performing laboratory tests, and support services such as admitting and discharging patients.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support veterinarians to ensure quality care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
- Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
- Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed veterinary technicians.
- Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and treatments.
- Maintain medical records with the support of practice systems.
- Obtain health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
- Use safe restraining techniques, follow protocols, and keep treatment areas clean and organized.
- Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
- Active LVT/RVT or CVT (Required)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical veterinary experience
- Experience in Emergency, Critical Care, or Specialty medicine
- Understanding of common disease processes and treatments in emergency care
- Strong medical math skills, including calculating fluid rates and drug infusions
- Ability to obtain blood pressure, ECG, SpO2, and EtCO2 readings and interpret clinical signs
- Comfort with digital radiography and surgical preparation
- Provide surgical assistance and post-operative care
- Administer medications and treatments prescribed by a veterinarian
- Positive work attitude, self-motivated, and excellent communication skills
- Commitment to a stress-free environment and ability to work in a fast-paced setting

Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience, starting at $24-$30/hour. The actual rate will consider your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
