Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists-Hoffman Estates is seeking a Nurse Trainer to join our community.
As a Nurse Trainer, you will lead the professional development of our veterinary technicians by planning, developing, and conducting training activities. Your role includes helping team members learn new skills, stay updated with veterinary technology, and address training gaps. You will also track training effectiveness and gather feedback for hospital planning.
Role Responsibilities:
- Identify and analyze training needs within the hospital.
- Develop training plans for new hires and current employees based on their needs.
- Facilitate training sessions in person or online, collaborating with internal and external trainers.
- Monitor attendance and performance during training and report data to supervisors.
- Assess team members’ performance post-training through supervisor feedback.
- Adjust training schedules based on team availability.
- Work schedule: Flexible, on-site, minimum 40 hours/week, including weekends and evenings.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of veterinary technician experience, including emergency and specialty medicine experience preferred.
- CVT certification required.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and database software.
- Highly organized with strong decision-making skills.
- Ability to design effective veterinary technician training programs.

Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience, ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 annually. The final offer will consider skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
