East Bend Animal Hospital in Bend, Oregon seeks an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to support outpatient care and procedural services including anesthesia, surgery, and dentistry. The role rewards versatility, client communication, and strong clinical knowledge in a busy general practice.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of veterinary technician experience.
• Active and good-standing Certified Veterinary Technician in Oregon.
• Proficiency in patient assessment, nursing care, anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery; surgical assistance and aseptic technique; dental prophylaxis and radiography; venipuncture and IV catheter placement; medication administration and accurate drug calculations; laboratory testing; client education and communication.
• Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders eligible to transfer a license, are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
• Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Assisting in surgery
• Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
• Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
• Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
• Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
