Job summary

East Bend Animal Hospital in Bend, Oregon seeks an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to support outpatient care and procedural services including anesthesia, surgery, and dentistry. Qualifications

• 2+ years of veterinary technician experience.
• Active and good-standing Certified Veterinary Technician in Oregon.
• Proficiency in patient assessment, nursing care, anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery; surgical assistance and aseptic technique; dental prophylaxis and radiography; venipuncture and IV catheter placement; medication administration and accurate drug calculations; laboratory testing; client education and communication.
• Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders eligible to transfer a license, are encouraged to apply.

Job description

East Bend Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.

We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment - balancing exam room care, client communication, and hands‑on procedural support. We value credentialed technicians for the clinical knowledge, judgment, and communication skills they bring across all areas of the hospital, helping elevate the quality of medicine, client experience, and patient care.

In this position, you will play a key role in both outpatient and procedural workflows, contributing to a consistent, high standard of care throughout the patient visit.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
• Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Assisting in surgery
• Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
• Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation

Schedule and compensation:

• Compensation: $26-30per hour, for each hour worked
• This is a flexible position, with a flexible schedule and availability needed Monday-Saturday .

Full-time Benefits Package*:

• Bonus package: $2000 based on active, good-standing veterinary technician credentials in the state of Oregon
• CE allowance: $500-$1,000 based on tenure and credentials

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

• 2+ years of veterinary technician experience
• Active and good-standing Certified Veterinary Technician in the state of Oregon **
• Proficiency in the following skills:
  • Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring
  • Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
  • Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
  • Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
  • Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
  • Medication administration and accurate drug calculations

  • Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning
