Forest Valley Veterinary Clinic in Cottage Grove, Oregon is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our team and support outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of veterinary technician experience.
• Active and good-standing Certified Veterinary Technician in Oregon.
• Proficiency in patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring.
• Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Surgical assistance and aseptic technique.
• Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography.
• Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement.
• Radiology positioning and safety protocols.
• Medication administration and accurate drug calculations.
• Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing.
• Accurate medical record documentation.
• Client education and communication.
• Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
• Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Assist in surgery.
• Perform dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography.
• Maintain accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation.
• Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately.
• Identify patient concerns and support efficient case management across the hospital.
• Build strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service.
