Position Details

Location: BluePearl Pet Hospital in Port Washington, WI

Department: Emergency and Critical Care

Position: Emergency Veterinary Technician (Relief shifts)

Pay Range: $22.00 - $35.00/hour, dependent on licensing, experience, and competency assessment.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia; operate anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases, obtain vital signs.
• Perform digital radiography, assist with or perform CT, endoscopy, ultrasonography.
• Understand normal vital sign ranges; interpret blood pressure and other vital signs.
• Identify at-risk patients and initiate CPR.
• Calculate medical math, administer medications.
• Perform phlebotomy, place IV catheters, and maintain feeding tubes and lines.
• Mentor and train team members; provide empathetic client care.
• Stay current with CPR guidelines; certification provided at no cost.
