Northgate Small Animal Hospital in Collinsville, IL is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our collaborative team. You will practice at the top of your license and support veterinarians with anesthesia, diagnostics, and client education.

This AAHA-accredited, Fear Free Certified hospital offers a four-day work week of ten-hour shifts, rotating Saturdays, and a competitive hourly pay plus a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Current CVT credential required.
• Ideal minimum of 1 year of experience as a credentialed veterinary technician.
• Strong technical and anesthesia monitoring skills.
• Excellent communication and client education abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performing patient assessments and obtaining medical histories.
• Safely restraining patients using Fear Free techniques.
• Monitoring anesthesia and assisting with surgical procedures.
• Performing dental prophylaxis and dental radiography.
• Collecting laboratory samples and running in-house diagnostics.
• Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed.
• Placing and maintaining intravenous catheters.
• Taking and positioning patients for digital radiographs.
• Educating clients on preventive care, medications, and treatment plans.
• Maintaining accurate medical records.
• Collaborating with veterinarians and the hospital team to provide exceptional patient care.

What You'll Do
