Job summary

Destination Pet, LLC is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our Livingston, NJ team. You will practice at the top of your license as a clinical leader in a high-quality, compassionate practice, supported by growth ladders and a community-focused culture.

The role emphasizes anesthesia, dentistry, diagnostics, and nursing with mentorship and leadership responsibilities, in a modern clinic with ultrasound and advanced equipment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid New Jersey Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) state license.
• Credentialed technicians are clinical drivers of patient care, with growth and leadership opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Anesthesia and analgesia: IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and monitoring.
• Dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, periodontal therapy.
• Diagnostics: In-house lab analysis, radiography, sample collection.
• Nursing and triage: Monitor patients, wound care, catheter management.
• Workflow leadership: Lead tech appointments, conduct team huddles, mentor externs.

Your Role – Clinical Driver & Leader

As a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), you will be encouraged to work at the top of your license and serve as a clinical leader, ensuring medical excellence with a patient-first mindset. We follow AAHAutilizationguidance consistently.

You will primarily utilize your skills in:

• Anesthesia & Analgesia: Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.

• Dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).

• Diagnostics: High-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.

• Nursing & Triage: Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.

• Workflow Leadership: Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.

• Schedule: Full-time with flexible scheduling options (choose 4 ten-hour or 5 eight-hour shifts) and a predictable weekend rotation.
