Job summary

Boston Veterinary Clinic – Seaport in Boston, MA is seeking a full-time Certified Veterinary Technician to join a collaborative three-doctor team. You will work in a modern, fast-paced hospital with Fear Free protocols and Cat Friendly standards, providing anesthesia support, dental care, and diagnostic services.

We offer a competitive hourly rate, a schedule of four 10‑hour shifts, and opportunities for growth within a growing multi-location practice.

Qualifications

  • CVT/LVT/RVT certification required and in good standing.
  • Experience assisting surgery and anesthesia.
  • Proficient with anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery.
  • Comfortable performing dental prophylaxis and radiographs.
  • Strong nursing skills and client communication.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize full skillset providing comprehensive patient care.
  • Lead and mentor the medical team to improve workflow.

$27–$33/hour

Boston Veterinary Clinic – Seaport is looking for a full‑time Certified Veterinary Technician to join our collaborative team! If you're passionate about patient care, thrive in a fast‑paced environment, and are looking for a long‑term veterinary home, we'd love to meet you.

Schedule
  • Full-time (36–40 hours per week)
  • Four 10‑hour shifts
  • Monday–Saturday availability required
  • Rotating Saturdays (the hospital is open every other Saturday)
  • Shifts scheduled between 7:30 AM and 7:30 PM
Compensation

$27–$33/hour, based on experience

Your Impact as a Credentialed Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities may vary depending on the hospital and/or state and will be outlined by the state’s Veterinary Practice Act and/or the responsible veterinarian, where applicable.

  • Utilize Your Full Skillset: You'll be a vital part of the medical team, providing comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work.
  • Be a Leader and Mentor: You’ll guide and support the medical team, ensuring an efficient workflow while mentoring others to help them grow their skills and careers.
  • Partner with Clients: You'll be a key point of contact for pet owners, educating them on treatments, reviewing medical records, and confidently answering their questions.
  • Contribute to a Positive Culture: You'll play an active role in training, providing feedback, and maintaining the high standards of our hospital environment.
What You'll Bring to the Team
  • Graduate of an AVMA‑accredited Veterinary Technician program.
  • A current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
  • Proficiency in a range of technical skills, including nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
  • A calm and efficient approach, especially in fast‑paced or stressful situations.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively.
  • One year of experience in the veterinary industry is preferred.
