Job summary

VCA Brookline Animal Hospital is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician to run Pharmacy and Inventory in a high-volume hospital. You will manage dispensing of medications, maintain controlled substances inventory, and handle purchasing and audits while collaborating with technicians and staff.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in the veterinary industry, a Bachelor’s degree or credentialed tech preferred, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in the veterinary industry
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Credentialed Veterinary Technician preferred
• Strong organizational ability and attention to detail
• Ability to develop and maintain positive work relationships

Responsibilities

• Filling and dispensing patient medications, including controlled substances
• Maintain controlled drug inventory and perform regular audits
• Assist with triaging calls, packing laboratory samples, and floor work
• Anticipate hospital supply needs and manage purchasing and inventory
