Job summary

Valley Animal Hospital in Geneva, IL is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our long‑standing, supportive team. The role offers 30+ hours per week, including Saturdays, with a competitive $22–$27/hour wage and full benefits.

You will monitor anesthesia, assist in dental procedures, and educate clients on treatments and vaccines while contributing to a collaborative hospital culture that values work‑life balance and ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• Must hold a CVT credential and have at least 1 year of experience.
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical support is required.
• Proficient in dental procedures and client education on treatments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor anesthesia and provide surgical support as needed.
• Perform dental procedures (prophy, charting, radiographs).

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician with at least 1 year of experience and a passion for quality medicine and client care.

Key skills include:

• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical support
• Dental procedures (prophy, charting, assisting with radiographs)
• Client communication — confidently educating clients on treatments and vaccines
