Job summary

Safe Tree Ltd is looking for a Certified Utility Arborist to provide line clearing and vegetation management services in New York. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Arboriculture, industry certifications, and strong interpersonal skills.

The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $30 to $40 along with benefits such as an in-house gym and equipment allowances after the probationary period.

This is a full-time, permanent role with opportunities for growth and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Valid and clean Driver's License G and/or DZ.
• Knowledge of industry rules and regulations.

Job description

The Certified Utility Arborist will provide line clearing and vegetation management services to our electrical utility customers in a manner that meets our customer’s expectations while following all health and safety guidelines. This person is also responsible for training apprentices.

Qualifications you must have:

• 3 + Years experience working around hydro
• Diploma in Arboriculture from a recognized college or university
• 444B or ISA Certified Arborist or equivalent or working towards it
• Advanced chainsaw, chipper and stumper experience
• Valid and clean Driver’s License G and/or DZ (with 3 years of proven experience)
• Knowledge of industry rules and regulations
• Strong interpersonal skills with customers and co-workers is critical
• First Aid/CPR, WHMIS 2015, Working at Heights, Fall Protection, Workplace Harassment and Violence, Health and Safety Awareness in 5 Steps and Electrical
• Awareness Certificates considered an asset

Wages and Benefits:

• $27-$32/hour
• Boot reimbursement program up to $150 after probationary period
