Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a valid teaching certificate or proof of retirement from teaching.
• Prior tutorial experience preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides academic assistance to assigned students, group or one-on-one.
• Collaborates with classroom teacher to assess students and tailor tutoring methods.
• Maintains records on each tutored student and tracks progress.
• Helps students understand subject material and develop study skills.
• Assists in designing and implementing cooperative group projects as needed.
• Attends periodic training sessions to enhance tutoring competency.
