Job summary

Yorktown Central School District seeks a Certified Teaching Assistant to support instructional programs under a certified teacher's supervision. The CTA will assist in planning, delivering, and documenting student learning experiences.

Primary duties include working with individuals or groups, supporting materials development, and using technology to track student progress. Candidates should hold NYSED Level I TA certification with prospect for Level III and complete mandatory state workshops.

Qualifications

• NYSED Level I TA cert required; Level III within 4 years preferred.
• Complete required state workshops: Child Abuse Detection & Reporting, School Violence Prevention, DASA.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual students or groups on instructional projects.
• Provide teachers with information to tailor learning and behavior experiences.
• Assist students with instructional resources and materials development.
• Support in areas such as foreign languages, arts, crafts, music, and related subjects.
• Assist with health-related activities as appropriate.
• Maintain and organize instructional materials and records.
