Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency required.
• Experience in a school setting preferred.
• Must have NYS CTA certification.
• Maintains current certification in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI).
• Knowledge on assisting students with disabilities or special needs.
• Demonstrated Classroom management skills, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers and perform non-teaching duties as assigned.
• Monitor student behavior and aid during transitions and field trips.
• Proctor exams and quizzes.
• Ensure health, safety and supervision per school policies.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
