Job summary

Bond Health is seeking a Teacher's Assistant for a Queens location to support classroom activities and student care under supervision. The TA will assist the lead teacher, perform light clerical tasks, and help maintain a safe, organized learning environment.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, Level 1 TA certification, fingerprinting eligibility, TEACH registration, and completion of required safety courses. Pre-employment physicals and a background check are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Level 1 Certified TA or higher.
• 6 months experience as a TA is preferred.
• Must be fingerprinted, or willing to be fingerprinted, by the Board of Education and the Department of Investigation. Fingerprinting costs to be paid by the candidate.
• Must be registered on the TEACH website.
• Certified completion of Domestic Violence and Child Abuse courses.
• Pre-employment Physical Exam (within one year), with documentation of: PPD, MMR proof of immunization, TDAP, Varicella.
• $25 money order to cover background check. Money order to be paid to the school by the candidate.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical and programmatic aid to children where assigned.
• Aids in program plans and preparations.
• Assists with supervision of children in assigned areas.
• Performs clerical work for assigned areas i.e. collating, folding, typing, laminating and answering telephones.
• Participates in case conferences as needed.
• Ensures that services are rendered to children with utmost regard for their personal dignity, privacy and confidentiality.
