Summary

Teachers provide support to the instructional process by serving as the classroom leader with specific responsibility for supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas. This role involves developing lesson plans, delivering instruction, collaborating with colleagues, and communicating with parents or guardians regarding student progress.

Essential Duties

• Provide all students with high-quality education, preparing them for a successful future.
• Create a culture of effectiveness by setting high expectations for all students.
• Teach courses assigned by the principal/supervisor, aligned with licensure area, including specialized subjects such as math, science, or literacy.
• Prepare course objectives and outlines following curriculum guidelines and state requirements.
• Guide the learning process toward achieving curriculum goals in line with the CMS Strategic Plan.
