Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) is seeking candidates for the Teacher, Alternative License Pathway (All Subjects) position for 2026-2027 or 2027-2028. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (24 semester hours of relevant coursework)
• 2.7 GPA (this can be calculated using undergraduate coursework or post graduate coursework)
• Ability to produce an official, degree dated transcript from a regionally accredited university
• Does not hold an active or expired NC or out of state teaching license (former Lateral Entry license candidates are eligible)

Responsibilities

• Provides classroom leadership and supervises students within the classroom and other assigned areas
• Develops lesson plans and delivers group and individual instruction within established curriculum guidelines
• Collaborates with other teachers, professional staff, and administrators to address instructional issues
• Responds to inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding instructional programs and student progress
• Teaches courses aligned to licensure area, including combined grade classes or specialized subjects such as math, science or literacy
